Abstract
Solids are sepd. from water by electrolytic flotation using vertical electrodes with a porous, grid-like or mesh structure arranged in an electrolytic cell in such a way that all the water passes through them. The size of the passages through the electrode structures 0.01-30 mm. The electrolysis is carried out at room temp. at a current density of 1-10 A/1/min. of water flow.
