Abstract

Light-degradation of thermoplastic synthetic, organic, high polymer moulding batches, used as opt. foamed packaging materials and mulching foils for gardening and agriculture, is promoted by incorporating 0.01 - 5 wt.% 6, bzl-dibromo-benzanthrone (I), as sensitiser. Suitable thermoplastics include polyaddn. and polycondensation polymers, e.g. polyethylene, polypropylene and polystyrene.
