Abstract

In a device where rotating mixing elements are arranged within a container trough and bottom outlet for the mix, part of the bottom section of the container is formed by a horizontal movable valve plate and lifting elements are arranged on the bottom or at the sides to raise the valve plate into the sealing position and against a sealing seat on the container bottom as the plate itself. The plate, activated by a pneumatic device, slides on rollers and is raised by wedge shaped elements riding up onto the rollers into the final sealing position. Scrapers keep the sealing surface free from deposits.
