Abstract

Radial tyre has in each side wall a reinforcement extending between the beads and a point situated at or beyond the centre of the sidewall, this reinforcement consisting of threads or cords diposed circumferentially and having a stiffness increasing as a function of the distance to the axis of the cover from a minimum at the level of the bead to a maximum value at the level of the other end. The tyre has good stability at high speeds, gives rapid sterring response and a comfortable ride.
