Abstract
In regenerative heat exchanger, with an exchange rotor requiring a continuous rotary motion combined with an intermittent axial movement in alternate directions in order to permit the alternate and successive passage of hot and cold gas currents through sections of the rotor, the feed gas press. us used to drive the rotor and to move it intermittently in alternate directions along its axis, thus dispensing with the need for an auxiliary drive.
