Abstract

Fabrication of tubular bodies by continuous lay-up on to and withdrawal from a rotating mandrel and including periodic use of mandrel sleeves to increase the bore of the tubular prod. at intervals along its length, where the sleeves used are split longitudinally and are loaded transversely on to the mandrel. After the prod. has been cut into sections, the sleeving may be removed by folding, melting or in soln. The mandrel may be of elastic or rigid material with longitudinal joints.
