Abstract

Thermosetting moulding powder (for compression or injection moulding to rapidly crosslinking stiff rigid mouldings) comprising (a) a copolymer of av. mol wt 1500 1500-16000 and softening point above 25 degrees C, comprising 15-40 wt% glycidyl methacrylate, 0-30 wt.% (meth)acrylonitrile and the remainder methyl methacrylate (part of the copolymer being opt. replaced by a diepoxide) and (b) a monomeric anhydride (e.g. phthalic, tetra- or hexa-hydrophthalic, tetrabromophthalic, succinic, glutamic, trimetllitic, tetrahydrofuran tetracarboxylic etc) such that compsn contains 0.5-1.5 anhydride gps per epoxy gp.
