Abstract

An elongated cylindrical or prismatic cross section outer vessel with esp. domed ends, contains a number of relatively large similar shaped vessels with their axes at right angles to that of the outer and with their domed ends matching approx. the curvature of shape of the wall of the outer. Inlet and outlet ports for the primary fluid are between a pair of the inner vessels and inlet and outlet pipes for the inner vessels circulation of secondary fluid pass through sealed holes in the ends of the outer vessel. The inlets may be series or parallel or independent as may the outlets, and any necessary interconnections between the inner vessels are made by short lengths of pipe esp. within the outer and/or resiliently mounted relative to it. Easy cleaning of the heat exchangers is achieved.
