Abstract

Vermifuge composn. esp. for ruminants, comprises an anthelmintic, a binding agent and a dispersing agent of plant origin for dispersing the anthelmintic in the rumen. Pref. composns. contain haloxon (4-6g/100 kg) or thiabendazole (10-12g/100 kg) as anthelmintics in a pill or tablet of 20-60g depending on the animal to be treated. Pref. binding agents are satd. fatty acids or esters of (un)satd. 8-20C fatty acids. Prefd. dispersing agents are wood, sawdust or bagasses.
