Abstract
Heating conductors are produced by treating a moulding compsn. of an inorg. binder, e.g. Portland cement or gypsum, and opt. usual additives with an electrically conductive pigment, embedding metal leads in the compsn. during moulding and curing the compsn. These conductors can be used for heating floors, in irons and thermostatic plates. They have high thermal stability and mechanical strength. The pigment is C black obtd. by thermal cracking of C2H2 without the use of high pressure. Hydraulic binders are used. The leads pref. consist of strips of wire mesh.
