Water-soluble (co)polymers are produced by irradiating is not 50% aq. solns. of suitable monomer(s) with a CH2=C gp., opt. in the presence of photoinitiators, in the form of a thin film, is not >2 cm. thick, on a support, which pref. is moving under the source of radiation, as in parent patent.
