Abstract

PTFE tube is composed of a relatively thick outer cover of pure PTFE and an intimately bonded inner cover of a mixt. of PTFE and an electrically conducting material. Used for transporting liquids e.g. in aircraft. The conducting inner cover prevents the accumulation of a static charge in the tube, and the outer cover provides the tube with a satisfactory strength.
