Abstract

Process for high speed determination of the age resisting qualities of soaking oils using only one test piece which is submitted to a predetermined no. of heating/soaking cycles which comprise (a) soaking the test piece heated to an initial temp. THETAo in a bath of oil maintained at a temp. THETAL; (b) after a specific time the test piece is removed and its temp. brought to the temp. THETAL, and (c) the test piece is again heated to the temp. THETAo and again immersed in the oil bath.
