Abstract

2-Dimethylaminosulphamoyl-11-(4-methylpiperazino)-dibenzo a,d cyc- loheptadiene, its acid-addn. and quaternary ammonium salts: The cpd. has neuroleptic, tranquillising, antiemetic, antiserotonin and antihistaminic activity, and is administered orally. It is prepd. by reaction of 1-methylpiperazine with 2-dimethylsulphamoyldibenzo a,d cycloheptadienes having a residue of a reactive ester gp., e.g. halogen, O.SO2H, -O.SO3H in the 11-posn.
