Abstract
Process for obtaining an electrochemical element with good handling properties in which a Li halide layer is applied onto a thin, porous support by first forming a satd. soln. of the halide and incorporating a monomeric or polymeric binder, impregnating the support with the solution evaporating the solvent. The element when charged comprises the following layers in order a current collector, AgI, Li halide and Li.
