Abstract

Method of producing a plastic tube uses extrusion, followed by inflation to increase its diameter, associated with water cooling, the tube being finally flattened and rolled up. The differential pressure between inside and outside of the tube is varied along its length, increasing from the blowing zone to the flattening zone. In the prefd. appts., the differential pressure is generated either by producing a partial external vacuum around the flattening zone, or by producing an increased external pressure around the extrusion zone.
