Abstract

Several different coloured weft yarns supplied from separate packages are selectively fed by associated pivoting feed arms to the weft insertion lance of a shuttle-less loom. The selected weft yarn passes over a yarn break detector arranged at the edge of the warp and pref. secured to a stretching member, engages the edge of the woven and maintains it stretched. The yarn break detector pref. includes a piezo-electric sensor in a ceramic mounting. A single detector acts on all of the yarns.
