Abstract

An air breathing electrode is produced by applying a catalyst comp. to a metallic grid to form an electrode, and hot-pressing at pref. 200-500 degrees C a fluorocarbon polymer pref., PTFE. sheet contg. pore-forming agent, of particle size pref. 40 mu to one side. The pore-former is then leached out with a suitable solvent, to give the polymer sheet a final microporous structure.
