Abstract
A method of graduating e.g. a glass pipette by free flow; exactly i.e. by rinsing to remove all traces of measured liquid; or between two graduations, using a single piece of apparatus. Thus a pipette suitable for measuring 1 ml of fluid could be marked at 1.1 and .1 ml levels for delivery of 1 ml between these graduations, at intervals corresponding to volume 1.0 ml to .2 ml in 1/10 mls for exact measurement, and at levels slightly above these to allow for retention of residual liquid in free flow measurement.
