Abstract
Delactosed milk is prepd. by (1) ultrafiltering the milk at 3-5 bar 40-50 degrees C to two fractions, (A) of size >20 angstroms and (B) contg. lactose plus salts, (2) further separator by reverse osmosis at 40-50 degrees C and 40-50 bars to give fraction (C) contg. lactose and (D) contg. mineral salts with small molecules (3-5 angstroms). (A) and (D) are mixed to reconstitute the milk. The milk and derivs. are used for diabeties.
