Abstract
In the plant consisting of a kiln and a multi-cyclone waste-heat exchanger system at the kiln inlet side, in which the cyclones are inter-connected by gas pipe lines, the aluminium hydride kiln charge together with optional de-watered alumina and filter dust additions is continuously fed into the last cyclone furthest away from the kiln by injection into the gas pipe line feeding it, which runs as a loop down to ground level and then upwards again, at a point in the lower part of the upwards again, at a point in the lower part of the upward flow section. The method saves plant for conveying feed to cyclone.
