Abstract

Emulsifying composition for preparing culture media from petroleum products for the microbiological preparation of fertilizers as claimed in the parent patent in which part of the carbohydrate and protein substrate is replaced as a source of nitrogen by ammonium salts, amines, amides or vinasse. The pasty liquid substrate may be converted into powder form by adding 150 to 400% w/w of an absorbent such as chalk or talc without loss of activity. Such powders may be used for sinking and subsequent biodegradation of petroleum films on water.
