Abstract

Moisture-absorbing compsn. for drying air-tight containers of opt. shape and size, but esp. small instruments, esp. for maintaining constant humidity in casings for semi-conductor instruments, and integrated circuits, also for drying inner spaces of optical instruments, e.g. cathode ray tubes, consists of 20-60 wt.% zeolite and 40-80 wt.% hardenable polymer forming a cohesive bond with zeolite but an adhesive bond with container material. Pref. polymer is a hardened epoxide- and/or phenol-HCHO resin. Compsn. may be used in film or layer covering part of container inner surface.
