Abstract

Fluidification of PVC plastisols is obtd. by incorporation of 1-20 pts/100 resin of fatty polyacids or their anhydrides esters, amides, imides of formula:- where R1 is aliphatic with valency 'm', X, Y are OR2, R2 being H or monovalent derivative of alcohol or polyglycol or -NHR3, R3 being hydrocarbon, Z is 0 or N-R4, R4 being hydrocarbon and 'm', 'p' are small numbers. The additive gives good viscosity stabilisation and extended storage life.
