Abstract

Poly-5-methylhexene-1, produced in presence of Ziegler-Natta catalysts is used as binder for magnetic particles to non-magnetisable tapes, e.g. polyethylene-terephthalate, PVC or non-magnetisable metals, to produce magnetic tapes. Economic as the binder is completely soluble in n-heptane and other organic solvents.
