Abstract

A planographic printing surface is prepd by selectively exposing to light a conductive metal support carrying a photosensitive layer, developing the photosensitive layer to reveal the exposed zones, etching the metal zones underlying the revealed zones and electrodepositing a material (I) onto the etched zones, (I) having a surface energy different from that of the subsisting photosensitive layer and of the metal. The plate is used for the one step production of colour prints.
