Abstract

The alloy is produced by compacting filaments, fibres or strip of 0.7-2 micron thickness of Al, Al alloy and/or an alloy of Ni, Co, Fe or Cu contg. Al in an atm. which ensures that an Al oxide film is formed on the filaments or fibres. The compact is then sintered. Pref. the filaments are obtd. by melt spinning and are used in the alloy with a length >their width, while the width is > their thickness. The final product contains 1-3 vol. % Al2O3. A heat treatment temp.
