Abstract

Dryer-firing furnace for heat treatment of bricks, tiles and other heavy clay ware, comprises a lower, drying gallery and an upper, firing gallery, each equipped with a forward drive mechanism onto which carriages are placed automatically to carry the mouldings directly from the charging area, close to the area of production of green product, to the final storage and dispatch area. Costs of installation are reduced, and cost of heating is also reduced since no heat is lost between drying and firing.
