Abstract

In prodn. of electrically heated laminated windscreens with resistance wires embedded in the inter layer prior to bonding together, the resistance wires are guided to form the desired pattern by electrical forces during their application to the layer. Pref. the wires are first arranged parallel in a straight line on the layer, then a current is passed through them and the multi magnet ledge is moved along the wire either below or above it, the heat produced by the current causing the wire to embed itself in the laminate material. Very thin wires of the order of 10 mu are used.
