Abstract

The new vaporising strips contain (a) 0.2-3 pts. wt. of a liquid contg. 10-100% of an organophosphorus cpd. of formula (I), pref. dichlorous. where R = 1-4C organic radical, Z = O or S; and X and X' = halogen, pref. Cl or Br, the remainder of the liquid being solvents, co-evaporants, plasticisers, macromolecular resins, waxes, stabilisers, perfumes or dyes, and (b) 1 pt. of a fibrous support contg. 15100% synthetic macromolecular fibres, the remainder being cellulosic fibres or inert fillers. The strips are less hydrophilic than conventional ones, and so (I) is less liable to hydrolyse.
