Abstract

The diepoxides are:- where R1, R2 are H, aliphatic, cycloaliphatic, araliphatic or aromatic (pref. 1-4C alkyl) or form an alkylene radical together (di or tri-methylene) Z is bivalent aliphatic or cycloaliphatic (contg. one or more O atoms) araliphatic or aromatic; n is 1 or 2. The cpds are colourless crystals and can be hardened with amines as well as anhydrides or polycarboxylic acids for use in laminates, paints, varnishes, adhesives or sealants.
