Abstract

Prodn. of non-expanded polyurethanes is carried out with addition of 5 wt. % of liquid polybutenes before the crosslinking stage. The polybutenes reduce the compsn. viscosity, so aiding degassing, improve the storage stability of the polyurethane components in presence of humidity, and improve the polyurethane's electrical properties, flexibility, deformability, elongation at rupture, and resistance to chemical and atmospheric agents, without showing oxidation.
