Abstract

A cleaning compsn. consists of a mixt. of tetrachlorodifluoroethane (I) with a 2-4C nitrile (II). (I) is pref. 1,1,2,2,-tetrachloro-1,2-difluoroethane. The compsn. is pref. the azeotropic mixt. of (I) and (II). The compositions, are used to remove soldering fluxes from electrical apparatus, esp. in contact with synthetic materials or resins, and also to clean photographic films and magnetic recording tapes.
