Abstract

Synergistic antiozonant mixture comprises 25-75% of N-isopropyl-N'-phenyl-paraphenylenediamine and correspondingly 75-25% of N,N'-di-sec-alkyl-p-phenylenediamine (where sec-alkyl = -sec-octyl-, sec-hepthyl- or sec-hexyl). Mixture of use in rubber where is now possible to use lesser amounts of antiozonant, also gives rise to decreased blooming and improved resistance to flex cracking.
