Abstract

A bending shoe is arranged opposite the bending part of the pipeing, the shoe being positioned at the centre of a rigid frame. At one end of the frame is a working element aligned radially to the pipe, with a similar element at the other end acting as a stop, bending forces being applied between them. Pref. the elements are hydraulic cylinders with segmented heads on the associated rods. A further system within the frame stabilises the contracting portion of the piping during bending.
