Abstract

The fabric treatment roller is constructed in the form of a double-walled cylinder, with heating fluid placed in the hollow space between the two walls. Any air in the space is evacuated, and it is hermetically sealed. An internal burner brings the fluid up to boiling point and steam is generated until steam and fluid are in equilibrium, the steam condenses against the outer wall with even and consistent heat being conducted through the outer wall for the fabric or paper treatment.
