Abstract

A siphon for gasified water consists of a closed container having a valve for the introduction of compressed gas and a head for the delivery of gasified water through a nozzle, the container being at least partly surrounded with an envelope and the space between the container and the envelope filled with a heat insulating material. The device is useful for soda water siphons and if it is kept cool, when removed from its cool surroundings its temp. is maintained by the heat insulation, the gas being retained in solution. The container is pref. of stainless steel and the envelope of synthetic material e.g. nylon. The heat insulation is e.g. of polyurethane foam.
