Abstract

Mould closing and retaining mechanism, esp. for foamable plastics, is guided on two guides arranged at an angle by means of a guide cooperating mechanism on the supports, the cooperating mechanism for each guide being pivotally and slidably mounted in each guide. The unit can be pivoted in a very small space, and during pivoting around 90 degrees, the operating space remains at a constant height. The sideways introduction of each mould between the mould clamping plate is not obstructed.
