Abstract

The air outlets, from which air trapped between the article and mould walls is exhausted, and which are small to reduce deformation of the surface of the moulded article, are pref. connected to a single duct along which compressed air is periodically passed to purge the outlets and clear them of obstructions. Pref. the outts are cleared after each moulding operation. A better quality article results.
