Abstract
Heat exchanger, comprising generally tubular or angular housing with axial finned tubes, has deflector plates to guide medium flow externally around the tubes. The transverse fins or lamellae on the tubes and the deflector plates are almost identical; both are fixed to the housing around most of their perimeter, but whereas the fins each possess two unattached arcs in their perimeter, the deflector plates each possess only one.
