Abstract

Slow-release pesticidal compns. contain (a) 10-35% 2,2-dimethyl-2,2-dichlorovinyl phosphate in (b) a two phase polymeric matrix. The matrix consists of one phase of solubility parameter 8.7-12.0 cal 1/2/cc 1/2 to a second phase of solublitiy parameter 8.7 or 12.0 cal 1/2/cc 1/2. A suitable system is a block copolymer of formula A-B-(A)o-1, A-(B-A)2-5 or A-B-(B-A)2-5. where the A's are monoalkenyl subst. aromatic hydrocarbon polymeric blocks of mol.wt. 5000-50000 and B is a conj. dienic hydrocarbon polymer block of mol.wt. 50,000-500,000. and (c) other additives (opt.).
