Abstract

Transparent tubes are filled with nonporous glass particles coated with a silica gel dust impregnated with a K2Cr2O2 - H2SO4 combination; the absorbed alcohol is determined colorimetrically (lengthwise), and the tube is provided with seal. This advantage consists in that the reagent does not penetrate into the nonporous carrier particles; the absorption of water is small.
