Abstract

An inflatable boat, of thermoplastic sheet, comprising a flotation tube divided by an internal partition into two separate compartments, of which the inboard one is the safety tube, is constructed with the welds forming the closures of this safety tube lying in the horizontal plane when the boat is deflated. The advantage of the arrangement is that the boat folds flat without obstruction from the welds; also construction is simplified.
