Abstract

Distribution system for charges of molten glass, which supplies a number of channels from a single source of supply, the channels being arranged in a circle around the source, each channel supplying a separate machine for moulding glass gobs. The system comprises a curved scoop for each charge formed in a group in the exit orifice (specif. two for a double charge group) a mechanism for supporting the scoops so that they hand and turn about vertic axes, all scoops turning simultaneously about their axis, and a rotating cam controlled mechanism to displace the scoops so that they successively deliver their charges to different channels according to a predetermined pattern. Apparatus replaces a simple to and fro mechanism of prior art, and enables fuller use to be made of the machinery.
