Abstract

Removable and deformable intravaginal porous article for controlling the fertility cycle of animals characterised by the interior of the porous article above having locally a relatively high dosage of an ovulation regulating substance in formulated form. As the active material is within the porous article, the articles are soft to handle than impregnated sponges during application to animals, the risk of disturbing the bromone balance of the handle being eliminated. The active material is effectively released from within the porous article over a period when in contact with moisture. The porous article is much simpler and sofer to use than implants of ovulation regulating substances.
