Abstract
In the process, the effluent is rendered sufficiently alkaline that is pH is >=10, filtered, and passed through a carboxylic resin, pref. a polyacrylic resin, the resin subsequently being eluted with a 1M HNO3 soln. Rate of decontamination is improved w.r.t. prior art polystyrene sulphonic acid cation exchange resin.
