Abstract

Angle joints are arc welded using a device in which the welding head is held on a pivoting stand connected to a chassis by a rotating axle. The chassis has centering points and an elevation regulating means ensuring support for the head at three points. The device ensures precise centering of the head when welding joints =1.5 mm thick for e.g. welding constructional units subjected to warping such as the lateral wall of railways waggons.
