Abstract
Vinyl esters of formula:- (where R1R2&R3=alkyl of 6-20 C) are copolymerised with ethylene and optionally another comonomer, by free rad polymerisation at >93 degrees C and >35.2 kg/cm2 press. Copolymer contains 30-99.9% ethylene and 0.1-70 wt. % vinyl ester. Copolymers can be used for prodn. of films and fibres having good flexibility, resistance to solvents and high temps.
