Abstract

This paper, modified by the addition of mannogalactam, is further improved by the addition of a polyethyleneimine derivative (e.g. product of graft polymerisation of ethyleneimine onto basic condensation products of alkylenepolyamines, aliphatic dicarboxylic acids, lactams or -aminocarboxylic acids) in an amount of 0.005-0.3% (by wt. of solids); the mannogalactam is added in an amount of 0.1-1.5%. Tearing away of cellulose fibres during the printing with rapidly drying inks is suppressed, and the speed of paper dehydration is increased.
