Abstract

The abrasive sheet has a granular abrasive material which is fastened on a sheet-like carrier by an adhesive. The carrier has a thickness of not more than 2mm, and consists of a natural material, e.g. cotton, with up to 50% or synthetics, e.g. polyamide, polyester, or similar, together with a fixing agent, which may be latex. The abrasive material is fixed via a two adhesive layers, the first one having a high viscosity to prevent it from penetrating deeply into the carrier, the viscosity being between 50000-60000 cP at 20 degrees C, with a sealing layer also being applied, and consisting of crepe.
